Read the room // APPLICATIONS OPEN!
Throughout history, people have searched for ways to understand the world around them. Tarot is one such tool – not a fixed way of predicting the future, but a visual language for reflection. Each card illuminates a different aspect of the human experience, from growth and joy to challenge and uncertainty. There are no “bad” cards, only prompts that invite curiosity, insight, and honest introspection.
Read the Room is a collaborative exhibition inspired by Tarot imagery and symbolism. Participating artists will each be assigned a card from the traditional deck and invited to interpret it through their own artistic lens. Every card carries its own rich archetypes and layered meanings, offering a starting
point for creative exploration.
Tarot decks are also admired for their striking visual traditions, where art, symbolism, and storytelling intersect. In this exhibition, each artist will work on a canvas of the same size, creating a cohesive collection while allowing for diverse interpretations.
Together, the works will form the major cards/arcana, reimagined through many artistic voices, inviting viewers to reflect, interpret, and perhaps even Read the Room.
Applications are currently open to participate in this group exhibition – with ONLY TWO CARDS remaining!
